Healing Updates: How Peptides, Connection, and Discipline Equal Freedom in My Biological Blueprint
Sep 08, 2025
WELCOME TO EPISODE 257
In this solo episode, Freddie Kimmel invites listeners into an intimate health check-in, sharing what’s been working in his own healing journey after two decades of navigating chronic illness, surgeries, and autoimmune dysfunction. He discusses how his inflammation is at the lowest it has ever been, thanks to practices like microdosing GLP-2 peptides, experimenting with the Avacyn circulation device, and adding quercetin and vitamin C for histamine support. Freddie reflects on what it means to wake up pain-free at 47, why consistent practices matter more than one-off efforts, and how simple shifts in rhythm and environment can unlock resilience.
Freddie also unveils the core principles behind his new course, The Biological Blueprint: Foundational Principles for Longevity and Health. These guiding truths—consistency over intensity, environment before supplementation, connection as medicine, discipline as freedom, less doing/more being, and starting where you are—form the operating manual for a healthier, more liberated life. Whether you’re curious about new biohacking tools, looking to reduce inflammation, or seeking a grounded framework for your health journey, this episode offers inspiration and practical wisdom to support your next step.

EPISODE TRANSCRIPT
Freddie Kimmel (00:01.74)
Friends, how are you doing? It has been so long since we've done a solo episode. I tell you what, I feel like I have birthed a child because I did. It has been eight months that I have been consistently working on the biological blueprint, which is what? It's my love letter to the human body. It is the manual I wish I had at the beginning of my journey through chronic illness. And it is the net, you know, 20 years of work, whether it be
training from the Marion Institute in Biological Medicine or the Institute of Functional Health Coaching or Lived Experience navigating surgeries and autoimmune dysfunction. Now, I would love you to take a look at the course and that's not what this episode is about. It is literally an audience check-in. I always want to reach out. I wish we could just tune in for a second and say, hey, what do you need? What are you feeling?
Where do you need support in your life? What's working? What isn't? But because we can't do that, I will give that to you and I'll tell you how I'm doing. My inflammation, and you know, if you listen to the show, I talk about inflammation, what does that mean? You know, after going through all these fun medical things, I sit at a low level of, you know, it's like my synovial fluid is a little inflamed. My body functions, functions very well.
In fact, this morning I went out and I had a friend come over with a camera. We filmed some content and it was like, how many toe touches can I do? And I mean, I'm like eight feet in the air. So for 47 years old, I'm doing great. But my inflammation is the lowest it has ever been. And I just feel good. I wake up and I'm 47. So when I get out of bed, you know, I don't know if you have this thing where you get out of bed and it's like, how does that first trip to the bathroom feel?
Is there is are you do you have a hip that's creaky? Are you aware of an an ankle mobility or are you tight at the bottom of your foot? Is it a lower back thing? What is it? I just I get out of bed and I'm in no pain and What a way to start the day. What a blessing What a blessing and so
Freddie Kimmel (02:24.202)
I would tell you there's some things that I have included. One being I've been microdosing a GLP2 peptide. That's definitely taken the volume down and that is from Legacy Biosciences, so whatever their GLP2 is. And I mean a really, really small microdose. I do that on Monday and I do it on Thursday. And then the other thing I've been playing around is this device called the Avacyn. And the Avacyn is a device which...
It's very interesting. It looks like your hand is in like this robot mitten. And it creates a vacuum around your wrist, seals it with a vacuum seal, and then it starts to heat up the palm of the hand. And what's happening is it's almost tricking the body that there's heat. And so the body starts to try to cool down everything. And so I can feel my circulation start to... I know it sounds silly. I can feel my circulation.
but I'm very sensitized into my body. I can feel my pulse start to move through my extremities and my feet, and I can feel a little tingling in my skin. And over time, I've noticed a subtle shift in my inflammation. So we got the microdosing of peptides, and then we got the Avacyn device, and then I'll tell you, just this week, just this week, I started to do a little support for histamine and
some good old-fashioned vitamin C. So I'm doing a whole food vitamin from Garden of Life, and then I'm doing, you know, I think I had Thorn, now I'm using a brand called Jarro, but I'm just doing a thousand milligrams of quercetin three times a day. And that has made a difference. So I'm just feeling great in my body. And the other thing that has changed significantly since Saturday, since August 23rd, my brother's birthday, my brother Chris,
Which I wish him happy birthday. I've not heard from him yet. waiting. I launched it because I do. My brother, if, let me tell you what, if there's a human being who is kind, resourceful, energetic, limitless in his capabilities, it's my brother, Chris Kimmel, who is essentially a coordination drafter and he coordinates drafting trades for mechanical and...
Freddie Kimmel (04:43.15)
pipe bang and commercial properties up in Rochester. And he's just so smart, but he's a great dad. Anyways, Chris, you got a big shout out on the podcast. I love you. Happy birthday. my goodness. I forgot where I was. I was at peptides. I was at Avacyn device. I was at lower inflammation. I was at August 23rd. You see how I took myself back there? So I launched the course, the biological blueprint on my brother's birthday. Really just because
It's a special day in my heart. I always think about how much I love my brother. Now, with the launch of the course, which you're going to hear a lot about, you'll hear micro-content from there. The beginning of the biological blueprint, before I started in a material and CO2 tolerance breathing and cold exposure guides and ways to amplify your stem cells and how to do a fast, I wanted to lay out core principles and I was really proud of these because
If we don't have an... You know, it's kind of like any great robot movie, even Terminator, they have an operating protocol. And so all decisions are made quite simple based on core principles or operating protocols. So I wrote those for the biological blueprint. And number one is consistency over intensity. The idea that it is better to walk 10 minutes every single day than to go for an all-out...
that you're never going to repeat again because you hurt yourself. And so in my experience, health is done in a rhythm. It is consistency. And so this idea of an all-out sprint that's not anything you could ever maintain, there's not a lot of value there. Or there could be more value, and thinking about it is health is a rhythm. What is the rhythm that I'm willing to lean into and create repetition?
and stay with. So consistency over intensity. The second one was environment before supplementation. And so before reaching for that pill, ask yourself, how's your light? How's your breath? How's your water? How's your sleep? The terrain comes first. So it's really this idea of a fish bowl. You know, we have this beautiful fish bowl with pristine water and clean rocks and bubbling oxygen and light. The environment
Freddie Kimmel (07:11.822)
informs the health of the fish. As opposed to a tank that's been left alone, maybe the oxygen is broken, maybe it's lost its light, and so mold and mildew and fungus starts to form on the outer layer of the tank, right? There's an issue there. But we don't supplement methylene blue or turmeric into that tank.
We change the input of information that the environment is healthy and that informs the environment of the fish. Terrain comes first always. The next one is connection regulates biology. And it's been my experience in a consistent theme that loneliness is inflammatory and community is the antidote to that. Community is medicine and whether it's eye contact, laughter, or just presence. Don't underestimate what heals you. I will tell you a majority of this
Academy, I built alone and I'm tired of working alone. I worked many eight, nine hour blocks face to a computer screen. And I needed to do that. I needed to do that. It's like committing to doing something that's very painful, like climbing a mountain. And this was extra time, extra from what I already work on, from the podcast, from Flo Presso, from consulting.
It was extra, so I had to make a decision. And I chose to sacrifice a little bit of my health and being a little lonely. And it's so nice to be around people and the idea of going out and working because, you know, I need a fast internet connection or I need my filming, you know, I need my good tripods and filming computer software and the nice dome lights. So everything looks beautiful. Now I can go out and work in a cafe again. I can go work at Cosmic Cafe in Austin, Texas. So...
connection regulates biology. The next one was discipline equals freedom. And so we are just all much sort of, we mirrored that principle, but the more you practice the basics, the more resilient and free your body becomes. know, movement, more light, more breath, more real food. These are your tools of liberation.
Freddie Kimmel (09:34.618)
Taking the gut health guide or the clean vegetable guide or the dirty dozen or the clean 15 and shopping for food that is building your biology as opposed to making you sick. Discipline there equals freedom. Discipline in understanding that it is the last rep that you can no longer move the weight, which is challenging your mitochondria to make more mitochondria and then you get a net benefit of
energy, surplus energy. Discipline equals freedom there. Understanding that the last three hours before I go to bed, I don't want to eat. I don't want to set my body up with an excessive load of protein, so it's trying to digest that throughout the night. I want it to focus on stem cell activation, cellular repair, and glymphatic drainage in the brain. You know, those are your tools of liberation.
And finally, less doing more being. You know, your nervous system heals in stillness. And sometimes the most productive thing to do is to pause and to feel and to listen. And so I just did that. I just did that today, two hours ago.
I looked at my computer, I looked at a list, I looked at a full email box, I saw I had messages on my phone, but I could feel where my nervous system was and it says, hey, you can go do a drink update and maybe a little nicotine gum and you can go do maybe a quick face dunk in the ice bath. You could push through this, but how good would it feel to be and not do anything? And so I'm leaning into that.
being. And so that's when I laid down and, you know, incidentally, now it doesn't mean you can't stack that with some great recovery tools.
Freddie Kimmel (11:33.87)
It doesn't mean you can't stack that with things like the Avacyn or an amp coil or a neuro vital, a vital neuro headset and do a little biofeedback and just sit into that meditation. But man, did I wake up feeling good and I really am starting to listen and there'll definitely be a podcast on vital neuro. It's a phenomenal headset, which does a live reading of your brain and there's real time biofeedback with music and visuals that amplifies that process. But
I'm over nine weeks in and I'm like 1700 minutes into meditation and stillness and it's the most I've ever done.
And we could look at all these things, right? There's a consistency over intensity. There's an environment before supplementing. There's where discipline equals freedom. So I'm thinking about these all the time. I'm thinking every time I talk to somebody, was like, discipline equals freedom. They're like, what? Nothing. I'm just mumbling to myself, seeing where this blueprint could apply to amplify the quality of your life. And so...
Yeah. Yeah. The last one is start where you are.
You know, start where you are. If the sun didn't happen, drink water. If breath work didn't happen that day, go for a walk. There is no shame in reentry. There's only momentum. And so it's one foot in front of the other. I hope you guys enjoyed this solo podcast. I am going to go do a demo on a top secret new technology in Austin, Texas, which I'm sure you'll hear all about one day.
Freddie Kimmel (13:14.707)
And I hope you're well. Please check out, there'll be a link for The Biological Blueprint if you want to check it out. And I opened the show with an invitation. If you have questions for me, send them on over. I would love to hear them. Hope you're doing well. Sending you love and light. I'm also, I'm also gonna be working in Montana for the whole month remote with my bestie and my partner Cynthia and Mr. Higgs, the little puppy, if you've been watching socials. I hope you're great.
Sending so much love to you. Let's go.
