Here we are rolling into season five and I have a very special guest. have the lead scientist from a company known as Silver Biotics that I'm just starting to explore their product line. And we are going to go all the way back to high school physics and chemistry with Steve. Steve, good morning. Good morning. Steve, could you tell me a little bit about your background in your role with Silver Biotics?

Sure, I'm actually a retired educator. So I've taught all the sciences there is to teach for the past 30 years. I retired about seven, eight years ago now. The Moller family that the business belongs to, they've been, I was actually one of their neighbors and they've been pestering me for a long time to retire from education, to go to work for them and be their science guy. And so I finally took the plunge and I've been that,

American biotech for seven or eight years full time now. Yeah. And so with that love of science, you said you're a self-proclaimed scientific nerd, but what does that mean to you? And what do you love about science? Since I was really young and I've loved all the sciences. The one time I wanted to be a doctor, I was pre-med in college and I found I didn't like being around sick people. So I thought I'd rather teach science and actually probably, you know,

than do medicine. And so I went on a teaching career and never looked back. So I was able to teach every science basically there is to teach in high school and college. And I've just loved every moment of it. Yeah. And so let's tie it into the science of silver biotics. It's from my experience as an outsider, if I go to your website, there's so many great products. There's supplements for pets. There's creams that can help the body deal with infection on the skin.

There are different brands of toothpaste and CBD creams, but everything has this element of silver in the labeling, hence the name. So why silver? What's the magic that silver brings to this product line? Well, silver has been around for centuries. And I mean, there's a lot of old adages that point back to silver and usage of silver in society. You know, the old adage of you're born with this, he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

or the pioneers used silver coins in their water barrels or rainwater barrels. It's a highly antimicrobial element and used property. It's a very safe element to use for antimicrobial properties. And so my dealings with the Mollers, with the ABL company here, it's basically a gift. The particle that we've been able to produce here and produce on a constant consistent basis because we test it all the time.

It's a miracle particle and I can go into a little bit of the structure of particle right now and tell you a little bit about that. So the particle that we have manufactured is a particle between five and 15 nanometers. And so I'm going to get kind of sciencey here for a minute. Yeah, let's do that. The audience will definitely embrace. It is a, it's a metallic silver particle with the metallic silver in its core.

And then surrounding that, we've been able to produce a coating of tetra silver tetra oxide or AG 404. That is the antimicrobial part of it. But the silver core along with that coating makes the particle very unique in its properties and its ability to be antimicrobial. So my history with silver, and I think before we jump in more about this miracle particle, which I'm excited to explore that terminology.

My history with silver through Lyme and chronic illness and many different endeavors to rebalance the bacteria in my gut. At one point I had a doctor who was a wonderful paracytologist pair some Western antibiotics with a supplement called Argentin, which was a silver product. So how is that silver different? And I remember them telling me or showing me stats that even Argentin at the time was a very effective antimicrobial.

Yeah, the silvers that are out there right now are antimicrobial. There's no question about that. There are silver ions, silver are called ionic silver, which are just basically single atoms of silver that's lost an electron, which makes it antimicrobial. There are silver particles that they've connected to proteins or metalloprotein silvers. And so there's a different lot of varieties out there. mean, in hospitals, there is sulfur sulfa-diazine.

which is a silver particle connected to a sulfur molecule. So, and that's, know, widely prescribed and used for wound care in hospitals right now. Our silver particle is different, is because it's a particle. is a, I guess you can consider it to be nano because anything between, you know, usually five and a hundred nanometers in diameter, considered to be nanoparticles.

I guess the problem that I have with a lot of the quote unquote, colloidal silvers out there is that they're strictly ionic. They're not particles. They're atoms. And those are the ones that are kind of getting blamed, which probably rightfully so, for causing this condition called Argeria or Blue Man syndrome. Ionic silver tends to stay in the body and it kind of collects in the adipose tissue, you know, in the skin and then sun hits it and it

reverses itself and kind of turns gray and blue. Our particle, we've done human ingestion studies with our particles and they clear out of the body within 24 to 36 hours. And so they don't stay in the body to have any idea to cause that condition of Argeria. Yeah, I think that's really interesting because if you look up silver or a silver supplement online, you often will be tagged to some sort of an article which

gives you a warning not to ingest too much or look at these levels because you could have the symptom of actually your skin looking like a big human smurf. I understand that warning label and I was very, very careful with my dosage, but explain to me why this particle doesn't do that. Is it the size or is it the charge of the particle? I'd love to understand that better. It is, it's a little bit of both. And so our particle, the way it's produced, it's produced with high energy and the

water surrounding that particle is also energized. It's a form of structured water. And so along with that, the particle with its size and its inability to basically kind of get stuck into inner cells and interstitial tissue is able to clear out of the system with normal kidney and bowel removal. Yeah, really, really interesting. If we can boil down, I want to go back to that idea that this is a miracle discovery.

And I want to reference, there is one product that you have that I got in the kit that I'm using. It's a wound cream, correct? That is actually has like an FDA approval to do all kind of these. We'll call it the caveat associated with these miracle effects on the body. What's the mechanism of action? Like how does it do that? Well, it's a wound care gel and we do have cosmetic creams. It has a silver in it that actually has been used very good for skin irritations as well.

but the FDA cleared product is actually a wound gel. And it has basically your basic, you know, gelling agents, but it has the silver composition in it as well. And so the modes of action for most silver products are kind of unique. They're similar to each other, but we have three main modes of action. And probably the largest one is the destruction of the cell membrane of the pathogen. And that's one thing that's wonderful, unique about our

silver product is that it doesn't harm probiotic, the fauna and the flora in the body. And we've learned over, you know, in my microbiology world, that pathogenic bacteria are actually, they're not as hardy as probiotic bacteria. Probiotic bacteria can withstand kind of the onslaught of the silver and it's not harmed in low dosages. You know, and that's another thing that's out there as well. We

have a very low concentration of silver in our products, somewhere between, with the wound care gels, between 24 and 30 parts per million. Whereas a lot of your wound care out there is in the thousands of parts per million. And so there's a lot of silver that's introduced into the body with those other products. We've done head-to-head testing on all of our products that we do better than the other silver products out there.

for kill times and overall vanquishing of the bacteria. We've done the nasty stuff on MRSA and VRE and everything else. And we do perform better than those other silver products with a lot more concentration of silver. So the other mode of actions is going to be in protein synthesis and DNA replication. Bacterial DNA replication is vastly different than our DNA replication.

The molecules are different, the enzymes are different. And so the silver tends to get in there and block those pathways so they can't reproduce. Wow. Yeah. What I heard in there was this mechanism of action is cutting as edge as it is that one of the most exciting things was that it doesn't disturb the balance of the normal microbial flora and fauna in the gut. That's really incredible because I know that's a, it's almost this

many, many times you'll have anybody that's working with a chronic illness. It'll be that weed seed and feed. So you're going to wipe everything out and then you're going to need to repopulate. So how does it have discernment as a supplement? The discernment basically is based on that low concentration of silver and our particle. What it does is it tends to affect those pathogenic, vector and microorganisms more.

the probiotics. Well, we found out with our product as well as I know with other products as well, if we concentrate our product above about the 50 ppm level, it will start to affect probiotics. But we've been able to discount that and have a lower ppm value that doesn't affect the probiotics like the other ones that are in the 100 to 200 to 1000 ppm rate.

If we go back to that, you mentioned the testing, even at looking things like as virulent as MRSA, which I know is a huge problem in hospitals right now. And I've done some decent research into different systems they're using to have controls in these hospital rooms. How did those tests fair? If you could give us some scope or just again, if you're trying to explain this to somebody in a grocery store, what does the result look like working with MRSA and even like a Petri dish?

We've had kill times within hours of MRSA and VRE. And whereas other products, know, kind of the thing we did test, head-to-head testing with triple-lapid antibiotics, ointments as well. What we found out kind of really sadly about those is that they're left on the body more than 24 hours. They'll actually start to harbor bacteria once that antibiotic is used up. That's another unique property about, you know, our particle is that it's

You know, with the ionic silvers, they're single atoms of silver. And so once they grab one electron, they're useless. They're out of commission. They don't work anymore. Our particle is surrounded with millions of those tetrasilver, tetraoxide molecules, crystals, and they tend to get used and used and used. Eventually our particles do wear out, but by the time that happens, they're usually cleared out of the body.

But our particle works over and over and over again for a long period of time. And that's why we're able to do it at such a low dosage concentration is that it has that ability to repeat its mode of action many, many, many millions of times before the particle gets worn out. Yeah, this is good. I'm starting to get it. So if we're looking at this unique molecule of silver with this unique coating, what I'm hearing is that that molecule has the ability to continue.

to steal electrons, whether it's an opportunistic bacteria or a virus, is that correct? And it has the ability, along with that, has the ability to steal the electrons more, I'm going to say violently, than the silver. The combination of the tetraoxide, tetra silver molecule crystal, if you want to call it that. Chemistry-wise, I have a hard time putting molecule because it is an ionic type of arrangement, so it's more crystalline.

And actually metals are crystals as well. so, but kind of look at it like this. You have a spherical particle and the core of it is a metallic silver. The coating is that HE 404. Turns out that we stress in the production of the molecule, we really stress the silver atoms. One of the silver atoms is at a plus three. Silver is, it doesn't like to be there at all. And one of the silver atoms is in a plus one chart.

So you have kind of an average charge of plus two on the silver. Silver is very unhappy with that. It wants to be zero. It wants to grab electrons to make itself more happy, more stable. So it will grab electrons kind of more violently with those pathogens and really rip them apart a lot quicker than the plain silver ions of plus one. Yeah. It's really interesting to me to understand.

healing or the mechanism of the body rebalancing through electricity. And so if we were to just put a tab in the page for a second, so I'm imagining like the mechanism of a standard antibiotic, you mentioned triple antibiotic therapy, there's a different mechanism of action, correct? Correct. And do you know you must as being a wizard of all sciences, can you walk us through how that might work in a Petri dish as well?

Yeah, it depends on the triple biotic, on the antibiotic. But most antibiotics like Denicillin, Basitracin, Ampicillin, those things, what they do is the bacteria actually kind of brings those molecules in unknowingly what it is. And then those molecules really act to degrade the proteins inside the microorganism and really degrade the molecules that causes that organism to proliferate, to reproduce itself.

That's usually what antibiotics do. As we go into this conversation and whether it's a news article or something that pops up in the media, it seems that we're constantly looking for new forms of, I'm going to say wellness technology to better manage some of these virulent infections, which we hear the term antibiotic resistant thrown around quite a bit. Now I have a little experience with this myself. It was always a concern when I was in the hospital.

know, rewashing wounds and going over different surgical incisions. And what role, you know, very candid question, what role could this technology serve? And does silver ever have, is it possible that this could reach a day where it wasn't effective? Well, you know, if you look at the acronyms of MRSA and VRE, the R in both of them stands for resistant. And so that's why, you know, they're resistant to most NMIIs.

they do develop a resistance. And so what happens with those particular bacteria is they will bring in the antibiotic, but over a period of time that the bacteria has mutated itself to where the molecules that those antibiotics are targeted for have changed. And so they are no longer useful. With silver, we don't know of any resistance to silver with

any type of microorganism. It tends to be just flat across the board being able to destroy those microorganisms, those microbiols. And sometime in the future, who knows? We don't know. I mean, you know the old story that life will, you know, adjust and things like that. But as of now, there is no known resistance to any type of microbiol to silver. So we're very blessed right now to be able to use that technology.

So let's set the science aside for a second and let's just imagine we're in a grocery store and we meet each other. You've got this cool thing you're working on. What would you tell me as a consumer, like what would you recommend that I have in my cabinet from Silver Biotics? you know, if you could just have your magic wand and you're like, I wish everybody was just using this on the regular for these reasons. Well, in my cabinet at home, I have the full plethora of Silver Biotics.

products. I mean, I use the toothpaste regularly. It's kind of interesting. I designed the toothpaste. Oh, I think it was like two or three years ago I formulated toothpaste. And I started using it because I like it. You know, the texture was good, the flavor was good, everything was nice because that's what I designed it for. I kind of designed it for me. So once I started to it for about a year, you know, I go on to my dentist for my regular checkups and he says, something's different. What are doing?

Because you know, he'd give me the tube of crest or whatever that happens to be out there, you know, and, I says, well, I've kind of invented this toothpaste and I've been using it. He says, well, number one, your pockets are almost completely healed. Cause I was having some leading all that kind of stuff, you know, go through and he says, your decays have pretty much disappeared. And he says, what are you doing? So I just kind of let him on a little bit and he says, well, I'm using this toothpaste with silver.

So I gave him a sample and he is now using the toothpaste and I think he's selling it out of his office. Same with the tooth gel. So, you know, I have those both in there. have the, my wife exclusively uses the grapefruit skin cream for moisturizer and for skin irritations or anything like that. And so what silver does and the immune supplement and everything does is it takes the bio load away from the body and lets the body do what it's supposed to do.

and heal because infections and they get into wounds and they infect wounds and they cause the body all kinds of problems where the immune system has to take over that project before it takes over the project of actually healing the wound. And so our silver products basically they take the immune system to burden off the immune system and let the body heal at an accelerated rate.

Yeah, no, I definitely think that's a great reason to have this in your cabinet. And we've just obviously this is not news to anybody. We've been in a pandemic for what? It's like three years now. Is it three years? It feels like a time warp. Yes. We've mentioned MRSA, we've mentioned bacterial. Can we just touch on like the effects of a silver? We could talk about your silver, a silver that's encapsulated on a virus. What does that relationship look like? Is there an effect there?

We've done some testing, you know, and I guess we can call it, you know, a lot of people use our products off label for different types of ailments. Yeah. And they're very successful at that, you know, and I've known people that, you know, put it in their ears and their nose and, know, pretty much everything. And they have a lot of success using our product off label as well. For viruses, we've done some, little bit of testing with viruses and we know that there is some action on degrading the viral coat.

Yeah, I was just going to mention, I usually I go out to a convention called Magnicon every year in Louisville, Kentucky, which is a pulse electromagnetic field system. And they have an animal line and they do very, you know, horses just there's no placebo. They respond incredibly well. Broken bones and different injuries, sore muscles, colic, you name it. It's like, you know, great technology for animals. But I definitely need to connect you guys for their next event. That would be a really nice synergy.

Every year at this event, we go to the Derby and we just, see like how hard these animals run and it's wild. And I grew up at a farm and I know, I understand like it can be like one infection or one broken leg that you lose your animal. So again, just good to have these things on hand. I always tell people as a consumer, don't wait till there is a problem. Don't wait till you're in a university situation. Like, Freddie told me to go get that.

These are great things to have in your cabinet and just to have on hand. like as you said, I think you said your two or three things were the immune support, the toothpaste, the tooth gel. Was there anything else that you absolutely would like have this in your cabinet? That's, you know, the skin creams. And right now we've come up with, we're doing some beauty and cosmetic products and we have facial serum and we've been very successful with the facial serum as well.

And again, it contains the silver at that 20 parts per million. so basically it's pure high-uronic acid. looked, you we started looking on TV and you see all these ads for high-uronic acid serums for, you know, 80, 90, know, a hundred dollars for an ounce. And I'm going, I know better than that. That can't be right. And so we did kind of a dive into it and formulated a really good product that is very cost effective. And again, it has the silver.

in it as well. it's antimicrobial for your skin and it has all the benefits of those very expensive facial serums. Yeah. Yeah. I wanted to comment on that. And again, we want to remind everybody on the podcast, it's like I only have people on it's like stuff I'm using and I'm trying and I'm experiencing. I was really impressed with the price point on everything that silver biotics carries. It's very affordable.

It is and we've made it that way. Yeah, the other there's silver products out there apparently they're making a lot of money off of them, but we want to do what's good for our customers and you know for the health and well-being of people that's kind of what the uh, molar family started out doing was It was you know, was a blessing for them to you know, create this product and they wanted to pass that on down Yeah, incredible. It's a beautifully, beautifully branded website. just really the packaging on everything is great. So where you're at today with Silver Biotics, do you think there's more coming? Is there something you want to see in the future in the line? Is there more that you want? I know you can't give away the farm. Is there anything you're working on that's really exciting to you? Yes. Yes. We are working on products. We're working on our health and beauty line. We're working to kind of tweak our wound care line. The immune supplement speaks for itself.

We can't really do any better than what we've done with that. Yeah. But some new ingredients with our lotions and creams. So yeah, we've got some things working for for sure. Great. And then, you know, I have to ask this because we're on the Beautifully Broken podcast and I've been asking myself this question many, many times. Like, what does it mean to heal? What is robust health? What is vitality? So I'll I'll often pose the question to people. The Beautifully Broken pieces as we put them back together.

Steve, what does it mean to you to be beautifully broken? Well, again, we're going to all break. as I age, I turned the big six this year, which was kind of scary. I'm an adventure junkie. I'm an adrenaline junkie. I mean, we were up in Alaska fishing in waves that were five and six feet and big swells. And I was having a great time. I wasn't really too worried about things. Probably should have been. But, you know, downhill mountain biking and, you know, all just kinds of stuff.

I do a weird sport in the winter time. I'm an international bobsled and skeleton official. And so I take a ride down the skeleton track here at Park City every once in a while. And so yeah, I'm an adrenaline junkie, but what I found out is when I break, I don't heal as well as I used to. And so using silver biotic products and taking that immune support and taking that load off of my immune system, which is...
